Women's Health Care Services
We are proud to offer women’s health care services at both of our Alaska clinics.
Mat-Su Health Services participates in Alaska’s Ladies First program , which helps eligible Alaskans receive cervical cancer screenings and mammograms for free. Ladies First is federally funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention .
Mat-Su Health Services can also provide necessary diagnostic tests and provide referrals for women who need treatments not provided by our clinic.
We do not currently provide obstetrical services or mammography, but we can provide referrals for women who need mammograms or obstetric care.
Women's Health Services at Mat-Su Health
We are proud to provide a range of women’s health services at both of our Alaska community clinics:
- Annual gynecological exams, including cervical cancer screenings (pap tests) and pelvic exams
- Breast exams (we can provide a referral for mammograms)
- Screening for genital herpes, human papillomavirus (HPV), and other sexually transmitted infections
- HIV testing
- STI and STD treatment
- Birth control, including implant birth control options (we do not currently provide intrauterine devices - IUDs)
Can I Receive Care at Mat-Su Health Services If I'm Uninsured?
As a participant of the Ladies First program, Mat-Su Health Services can provide free cervical cancer screenings and breast exams for eligible Alaskan women. We can also give referrals for women who need mammograms.
If you are not eligible for the Ladies First program, you can still receive affordable preventive gynecological screening and treatment at our clinics. We provide a sliding scale discount, based on an individual’s family size and income. No one is denied care due to inability to pay.
