Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

If you are struggling with addiction, MAT can help sustain recovery.

Medication-Assisted Treatment Explained

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide “whole person-centered care”. We provide treatment for substance use disorders including opioid use disorder, alcohol use disorder as well as innovative approaches for management of methamphetamine, Cocaine and cannabis related disorders to reduce cravings and risk of harm.

Medications used in MAT are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) such as Buprenorphine/Naloxone (aka Suboxone) and Vivitrol if appropriate to patient care. We also incorporate the innovative use of FDA approved NSS-2 BRIDGE device system which can be used as an aid to reduce the symptoms of opiate withdrawal. Our MAT provider(s) create treatment plans tailored to meet each individual’s needs.

Research shows that a combination of medication and therapy can successfully treat these disorders, and for some people struggling with addiction, MAT can help sustain recovery. MAT is also used to prevent or reduce opioid overdose. As an integrated agency we can provide a combination of services at one location, helping to better serve you through coordinated care.
