About Us

We Are a Community Health Center

Mat-Su Health Services, Inc. is a community health center. We are dedicated to helping every patient receive the care they need, regardless of their ability to pay.

Our model of care includes family medicine, women's health services, dental care and behavioral health care. We offer early-morning and evening appointments to accommodate a variety of work schedules and daily routines.

Most importantly, our services are here to help individuals who may be underinsured or uninsured. Our sliding payment scale provides a discount on health services for qualifying patients, based on family size and income.

Explore our Insured & Uninsured page to learn more about our sliding scale discounts for qualified patients.

What is a Community Health Center?

A CHC is committed to improving the health of its community. Health is broadly defined as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not simply the absence of disease or infirmity. The mission of a CHC is to achieve good health for the individuals served, to serve the community, and strongly emphasize prevention, early intervention, rehabilitation, and education in addition to direct care.

We receive federal funding through the Health Resources and Services Administration and are known as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Mat-Su Health Services primary care clinic is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).
