Mat-Su Health Services, Inc. (MHS) began as a What is a A CHC is committed to improving the health of its community. Health is broadly defined as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not simply the absence of disease or infirmity. The mission of a CHC is to achieve good health for the individuals served, community service, strongly emphasize prevention, early intervention, rehabilitation, and education in addition to direct care. We receive federal funding through the Health Resources and Services Administration and are also known as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). To find our more about our services, click here. What is a A CMHC is an organization that provides a variety of services to meet the needs of individuals or families with mental health and substance use/abuse issues. We are state funded through the Department of Behavioral Health and provide services to Severely Mentally Ill (SMI) adults and Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED) children.
